Monica Dockery:Audacity of hope, but now I see the scope didn’t reach beyond your white walls Verse 1:They say that am a throwback I go over the top of the, they say am bringing the flow back with my linguistic opera, lyrical prozac metaphors be like topical, the first black american president, no prodigal, no philosophical its real life factual, he said he shed a tear Sandy Hook (massacre) it impact you, but what about the kids killed drones say goodnight you, make me despise, I admired you, I bought all the Kool Aid critics I would fight for you, I even did a song my brother about you, you the best of the worst the change was no evident, we all wished he would succeed wished no benevolence, but nevertheless you proceed with no evidence, product of civil rights now civil rights you abandon, obama even in London, so imagine the drama when the hope turned to anger! Monica: audacity of hope, but hope don't seem to float, on the blood of the innocent at all Verse2: I think you probably meant right but the system is decaying, all our politicians are rich so potraying, cant walk in our shoes corporations parlay with em, lay with em these Groves and the Osbournes, you were different silver spoon not born, the message of change resonated with encore, Close Guantanamo and end these wars, your appeal was wide wordwide corridor, Now no applause no closing expansion, extraordinary rendition liberties clashing, not jus inaction pursuing with a passion, then out came the drones citizens you attacked em, dragged em bagged em is this change we can believe in? Jus cos your better than doesn’t mean we believing..treason in season liberties not breathing the kiss of life but still her soul was leaving Monica:Audacity of hope, give us a reason to hope..

about

An EP which morphed into an album, a product of love, hard work and dedication. Each track is personal and speaks to something i believe in to the full.. from my dreams and aspirations, to my views on modern life. I also touch on the current political climate, relationships and my failures as a human being. I hope you enjoy this as much as i enjoyed making it..
